Özlem Ege Polat, EGE’s Founding Partner, has extensive experience in Energy and Corporate Law. With a distinguished career focused on advising both international and national energy companies and investors, Özlem specializes in navigating the complex landscape of energy regulatory matters.
Her expertise spans a range of critical tasks, including drafting and negotiating legal documents such as energy trading agreements, managing intricate licensing procedures, and representing clients before courts and regulatory bodies.
Throughout her career journey, Özlem represented numerous local and multinational clients in energy sector transactions. Her comprehensive approach extends beyond the energy sector, as she provides strategic guidance to clients operating in various sectors.
In addition to her proficiency in Mergers and Acquisitions, Özlem’s expertise encompasses Corporate Law and Commercial Law, offering invaluable insights and support at every stage of transactions.
Özlem graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2007 and obtained her LLM degree from University of Cologne in 2011 with a dissertation entitled “Establishing an Energy Exchange in Turkey: EEX as a Model” from the University.
